Why We Built VulnoraX
Hosting a Capture The Flag (CTF) competition or a cybersecurity training event is fundamentally broken. Today, organizers have to string together a dozen different tools, spin up vulnerable cloud infrastructure manually, and pray that their database doesn't crash when hundreds of students log in at the same time to brute-force a login endpoint.
I built VulnoraX to solve this.
The Engineering Vision
VulnoraX isn't just a scoreboard—it's a complete infrastructure orchestration engine. When you host an event on VulnoraX, you get:
- Instant Browser Terminals: We provide every participant with an isolated, browser-based Kali Linux terminal. No VPNs. No complicated local setups.
- Dynamic Container Provisioning: We isolate web exploitation challenges in their own Docker containers to prevent cross-team interference.
- Real-Time WebSockets: Our scoreboard is powered by real-time WebSockets and PostgreSQL, ensuring zero latency during the final minutes of a tense competition.
